Normally I type with most of my fingers and thumbs (for the space bar only), and don't always need to look, but depending on what else I'm doing and the state of my fingers I use anything from one finger upwards.

Typing this reply I realise I rarely use my pinkies except for things like the shift keys.

I did that! I took lessons at college, stopped before the exam, and I don't tell potential employers.
