It's all in their heads. I tested my K1 versus the new K2 we got and the k1 was consistently faster in screen changes, even if I purposely pressed the K2's button first and heard it click before pressing on the K1's button. The ONLY exception was for graphics. The faster chip and extra memory (some of which is no doubt reserved for graphics processing) meant that the K2 could do graphics pages faster, every time. Since most complaints are due to graphics pages, it makes sense to spend any tweaking time there, where gains are noticeable, rather than on text, where they are not (except if they speeded up topaz redraws when you are quite a ways into the book).
