Oh, the "X pages left in this chapter" DOES exist. You can see it on an iPad, in Books, f/k/a IBooks. (BTW, in this, I absolutely agree with Jon. Apple has made any searching HOPELESS with that name change!). For the iOS version, you apparently have to tap the page and it displays.

However, it doesn't exist in the Mac (not iOS, iow) version of the app.

We did extensive testing on this yesterday (because, hey, I'm not busy or anything, so of course, I'm some hooplehead bully's SLAVE, and clerical slave, at that) and that's the case. I told him, 3x that we do NOT control what's displayed in the running heads, the footer (yes, yes, running headers, metadata, but overridden by the upload later), etc. And he said, 3x "I don't believe that/it."

I concluded my dealings with him yesterday by telling him that he owed both me and the bookmaker (who was included in the "I don't believe..." crap) an apology.
