Just coincidence that just tonight I suspected T. Prachett's book "The Monstrous Regiment" might have somewhat a connection.

Maybe some of these people should be banned from paper and only allowed eink ereaders, old kindle, newish kindle and Kobo, and only software on laptop that lets them view the innards of the books.

I wonder do they essentially use the wordprocessor like a typewriter and the computer filing like a giant desk + box, rather than a properly organised office with organised filing cabinets.

As an aside, a (woman) teacher friend had a girl in class called Why-Von-ee spelled Yvonne who in "art" could only draw around one hand.

Re: Footers
Was it Pratchett or Adams that said there was no limit to the ingenuity of fools? Or something similar.
Quoth, dear:

I dunno, but it's pissing me off, that he would outright SAY he didn't believe us?

I feel like..I feel like Lord Peter Wimsey, in Have His Carcase. I feel nearly compelled to say "you drive me to the vulgarity of reminding you Who I Am, sport." I'm not normally like that, but DAMN it's offensive. That I would stoop so low, as to lie about the functionality, for a few hundred dollars??? And my reputation?

SO frustrating.
