I need a cover on my readers. I read in bed, laying on my side, glasses off and Kindle close. When on my right side, I can prop the Kindle on the bed because the cover makes a t-pee. If on my left side, I prop it on the pillow I'm using.
I've never liked a reader with no cover...too thin is hard to hold for me, the cover gives it something for me to hold.
The cracks in the lower right corner have been frustrating because they are right where the Oasis rests in the palm of my right hand when I read during the day. The 2017 Oasis has been frustrating for me on several levels. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't buy it.
