How do I change device driver?
This will be a long post. Sorry.
I have two Nooks, a 2015 Glowlight Plus and the follow-up model, the Glowlight 3.
When I plug in the Plus, Calibre displays the black icon that looks like the Nook ST. The Plus works as expected. When I add books to the Nook, the home screen actually updates in real time. The new books appear in the 'Most Recent bar at the top.
In Calibre, the Glowlight 3 displays the white icon that looks like the original Nook model. Every time I connect the 3 to Calibre and then eject, I have issues. All books are moved to the device. Nothing disappears.
But the books on the home page are scrambled (random old books appear instead of the most recently added) and the Nook forgets what book I am currently reading (though when I open that book, it does remember my reading position).
I haven't heard of anyone else having problems quite like mine. I acually deregistered and erased the 3 and reloaded everthing and the problem persists.
Now the 2015 Glowlight Plus and the 3 run near identical firmware. So I'm wondering if Calibre is using the wrong Nook setup for the 3 and that is what is causing issues?
I'd like to test it, but I can't figure out how to tell Calibre to use the other Nook driver.
(I know 'driver' isn't likely the correct terminology. I don't know what the proper verbage is.)
