Cleaning the screen

I've had my Kobo Aura HD for several years now, and the edges of the screen are starting to get a little grimy. A microfiber cloth alone doesn't really clean it.

I have some cleaner meant for LCD monitors and cell phones. Is it safe to use on an eInk screen?
