It would never work for my husband and I to share an e-reader. We basically read at the same time. If for some reason we were down to just one reader to use, one of us would use their phone or iPad.

My Kindle is not something I would want to "share" anymore than my cell phone is.

A user with the technical know how to set up different user profiles is a user who would have other devices that could used for digital books. The type of reader who buys a dedicated e-reader isn't going to want to share.
