For years I've had various tablets mounted in my kitchen, for watching Netflix, Prime videos, etc. They have always remained plugged in, unless I had taken them down to use elsewhere, which normally doesn't happen often. Right now it's an old iPad Air, but before that it was different Fire tablet models.

I've never noticed any issues with the batteries on those devices. The Fire tablets were all squirrelly, for one reason or another, but never battery related. The Fire HD 2nd gen reguired regular reboots to keep the battery indicator correctly showing the battery status, but that was an idiosyncracy of that model.
