Sorry if I'm unclear. Words are sometimes difficult for me.
I have FFF set to "New only" on a few of the metadata columns so they don't keep replacing whenever I update them (e.g. authors who changed their username).
This works under normal circumstances. However, some of the stories I'm importing (PDFs, converted to text to get the URLs) don't have metadata for those fields, so when I download new metadata they don't get filled in.
It's easily fixed by switching off "new only" and using the update-from-metadata-column option to fill them in, but I thought there might've been some option I missed.
