It seems like the experience between all three is largely the same. The only significant differences are in library checkouts on Kobo and Kindle Unlimited on Kindle. I mean think about it: navigating your library, maintaining collections, accessing a book, customizing font, customizing the front light, turning pages, looking up words, navigating the store, buying books, syncing your reader etc. all pretty much the same. The amount of trad published books and their pricing the same.

Most tech journalists are not readers and it is apparent in their reviews (lacking in detail and nuance). No need to scream bias or bought out when ignorance will do. They most likely spend most of their time reviewing tablets and phones.
