In the Boox devices (NeoReader) you can write directly into the books with the pen.
At pfd this file is changed directly, with the other book formats I don't know how it works, but even if the font size is changed, for example, underlines or comments remain in the right places.
The Nova2 - 7.8 inches is quite comfortable in size.
