So it looks like you were running a firmware that was quite old, and your Kindle updated. I'm surprised that you were able to keep the older firmware for so long, since you obviously have been keeping your device connected to wifi. Were you using one of the update blocking strategies, and Amazon was able to get around it? If so, which one?
