From my notes, the last time I looked at the fonts in a Kindle firmware, they lived in rootfs.img.gz\fwo_rootfs.img\usr\java\lib\fonts.sq sh which I unpacked to a fonts folder to play with. I still get a chuckle out of seeing code2000.ttf in there.

Reminder to check why the .sqsh gets split in the sentence above.
