Definitely true, and now that I check, several are even available at either of my two libraries without a hold.

I tend to think of the library mostly as a last resort for expensive newer titles. But often for newer titles, the hold periods are so long that it's almost not worth it. I've even recently had a couple of new titles I had on hold, where they went on sale and I bought them before the hold came through .

But you are absolutely right, when reading an older series, the library can be a big help! Thanks for the reminder!
