My server needs to be up 24/7 so being constantly awake and online is a non-issue. The VMs on it include the firewall I use to protect my internal network, a DHCP/file/print server, a backup server, a honeypot server, etc.

And yes, it is a server using VMWare's ESXi hypervisor. Much less power hungry than when I was running the world's best 5 server 1 user network.

I might move the server into the cloud but for now having it on site is handy and a lot cheaper.
