That's good to know. I actually never shut off my reader, I always use a sleep cover. It's only in a dire emergency when nothing else works that I'd resort to turning the power off, which fortunately is extremely rare. That's why I always used to comment out the line, I was always afraid I'd have no way to actually power it off in case it really got hung up and wouldn't respond to anything else.
