I bought a Kobo Glo HD and used it for a year. The process of side-loading books isn't not nearly as "quick and easy" as it is with a Kindle.
I usually read several books per week, many borrowed from KU or the library. There is no wireless method for side-loading with the Glo, so I had to connect via USB every-time I wanted to load a new book. After a year, I went back to Kindle and sold the Kobo.
The only feature I found superior on the Kobo was the screen light adjustment that could be done by swiping up-down on the left of the screen. I thought the added font options would be helpful, but rarely used them in day to day reading.
I also disliked the Kobo store, and Kobo book management (in your account online), in both design and function, it is sub-par when compared to Amazon.
