That's a different issue. Amazon made a mistake. It's happened before. In the past they've fixed their mistakes and hopefully they'll do that this time.
I have a couple of PW3's that I use to loan books to my neighbors. I haven't checked to see if they've updated but they're both working just fine. If they do get the updates I trust Amazon enough to expect fixes.
If they just fix the problems and don't offer any new features that'll be fine with me.
Actually, I'm not sure I want new features on any of my Kindles anymore. They've added new features I've liked such as X-Ray and then added new capabilities to those making them less useful to me. They even made bookmarks less simple so I have to think about them and it's distracting so I rarely use them now.
Lately they've been changing the look and feel, for the sake of doing so, it seems, and that makes it confusing for non-techy people like my neighbors.
Maybe a better plan for all ebook device makers is to save new features for new models. When's the last time you're car got updated with new features?
