It works fine. I have done it dozens of places/drives.

An EXISTING Library is complete as it stands. You just copy the old one over to the New PC (location), then point Calibre to its location.

It is NOT an empty folder, that is a NEW Library start point or a destination for a Move (from path A to path B).

If your new install has NO books added, simply copy Calibre Library CONTENTS to the new PC Calibre Library folder. ASSUMES 1)the folders have those names. 2) CALIBRE IS NOT RUNNING when you do this.
