The other night, I also noticed that the screent started to show that warm-cigarette-stain-yellow/orange backlight instead of the cool, blue backlight.
I ended up resetting the Kindle since there were a lot of books and docs on it, over 3g and there were about 1500+ search indexes. Resetting it put it back to the cool backdrop and it is holding the charge better.
I guess it wasn't really meant to handle a large amount of books and docs, lol!

Is that really the case? If so, I’ll probably need to have another look at the library I’m carrying on my device.
Last year I replaced my PW2 with a PW4 and this March my puppy expressed his boredom by gently chewing on it. I’ve been using this second PW4 since then and it feels like I need to re-juice it every fortnight whereas my previous devices would sustain my normal usage for a longer period.
I did have an index problem once. It was with my PW2 though and it was easily detectable, as John Hopper suggested above. That's not the case now.
