There are two files:
metadata.db
metadata_db_prefs_backup.json
but those would have to be manually uploaded from calibre ( which already has a proper server) to this mysterious new FTP server. I just don't understand the benefit.

i thought FTP was very old and almost obsolete - like me

...and is an non specialist general purpose thing, unlike a OPDS server that is actually designed for e-books, or a DLNA server which is designed for media. the latter 2 have proper built-in metadata support.

synology runs calibre content server already, [ search forum for details] so why re-invent the wheel
