I think it may just be a documentation lapse
In my Terminal, I am in my user folder. To which folder should I go, before trying
Code:
calibre --ignore-plugins
?
I guess,
Code:
cd /Users/kovid/work/calibre
is merely an example, but all this is not so helpful. Probably I should mention that I am on a macOS 10.14.6 machine.
I have already tried some variations, as an example
Code:
cd /Applications
calibre --ignore-plugins
but none of them worked.
What is the exact series of line commands I have to write in my Terminal?

Sorry, for the bother, and thank you everybody for your patience.
