Note 2 visibility menus

I have a load of questions about the Note 2. Here's one: when I open a book, the display of the text is fine. But in many menus of apps, text is displayed in a greyish letter that's well nigh unreadable. I attach a photo of the menu in FB reader, for instance. And another one which highlights the difference in readability between the menu and the regular text.

It's not restricted to the FB reader, I have the same visibility problem in any application, in the app store, &c. Anything that's more android like.

Any remedy for that?
