Sadly I must a complete duffer with these devices. No way could I get anywhere with GoldenDict and StarDict instructions. After zero success and a good deal of time expended I went a different route. There are some excellent dictionaries free to download in the Google Play store. I have Librera as my preferred reading app and it is working very well with the French dictionaries I downloaded. It took very little time too.
