And it's not just Salesforce. Something else is happening. As I said, here I see the reply box limned in a black border, which I never saw previously and the checkboxes are filled in a brightish blue (!) with white checks. Curiouser and curiouser. My replies in Teamwork Project Management are a bit clunky, too. Not the smooth application of typed text to which I am accustomed.
It's a little disorienting to type several lines of text, look up and realize that only 80-90% of the first line is typed and it's BUFFERING, like. You wait 20-30 seconds and then the rest shows up. It's like I've time-travelled back 30+ years.

The same thing has happened to my Chrome -- the buffering whilst typing, the slowness of response, and the bright blue checkboxes. And I'm not running any extensions/add-ons, etc. - just plain Chrome. The slowness and buffering waxes and wanes, but the blue checkboxes remain constant.
