Hello again!
Thank you for your quick and clear reply to my query. Much appreciated. If at any time there would be an option to be able to use different versions of the e-viewer with the latest edition of the main Library software, that would be a great option for someone like me. Maybe an added bolt on, or just a separate extra downloadable for those that want, might that be something you could consider, please?
I do occasionally use Kindle, Kobo, etc and for what I use them for - mainly purchased fiction - they are great. I do actually prefer in several ways some of the older functions of the e-viewer and have usually used it in preference to other readers anyway, whether for a book in my Calibre library or not. The fact that there are different types is excellent because I find different things I read or study suit the functions of different readers. No complaints - the new one is great apart from this one issue I have which is just pertinent to *loads* of footnotes. (I have a blazing new fast laptop only weeks old, yet it seems quite slow at retrieving the footnotes, by the way. Not sure why...)
Many thanks for providing such excellent software. I would be lost without it.
