e-book viewer - footnotes box placement query

0Hi!

I am a new poster, so hope this isn't a stupid question.

I have been using Caibre for years. The older versions of the e-book viewer had the footnotes viewed at the bottom of the screen under the main page separated by a pagebreak effect. The newest has it in a pop up box fixed in the middle of the page. This isn't normally an issue if there aren't that many footnotes in the text, but if there are, for instance if you are studying something like one of Shakespeare's works, then there are many on one page and half the time the box obscures what you need to see or reference, but you cannot shift the position of the box - at least as far as I have found!

Is there any way to change the settings back to how they were in the older version where the footnotes are at the bottom for ease of viewing - by far the best way of viewing them - or a way to make the current viewing box float around the screen, because the way it is set now is driving me nuts!

TIA for any help - it would be greatly appreciated!
