Well, this may be a bit low tech after all the fancy stuff! I make small books for author information, especially bibliographies, usually for authors with huge numbers of titles like Maxwell Grant. I can add my own notes, include bio data, whatever. I just store these with the author name, so I can get at them when looking at the book list. Usually I go to Wikipedia, copy what I want into Writer, then convert to epub (or just leave it as an odt in Calibre if I'm still changing it a lot).
