(I *may* have had a lightbulb moment, as I've never bothered to check what happened to the adobehost process when we murder Nickel, and how that might affect DRM, because, as I said, I don't use it, since Kobo's my main store (-> KePub), and anything else I might use is DRM-free or not even an ePub to begin with (Kindle)).
The books have no DRM now, some where deDRMed but at least one was originally without DRM (if I remember correctly). Yesterday evening I removed Plato and I have installed only KOReder. If You ask me I could reinstall Plato and make some experiment this afternoon when I come back from work.
