Yes, real choice is the most important aspect. Not fads inflicted by marketing or graphics people with no options other than colouring some elements. Win 9x, NT4.0, Win 2K, XP you could install genuine themes that weren't just colour changes. As you can on many versions of Linux today. You can even edit a theme and mix / match or do from scratch. Choice.
