As has already been said by previous posters, I also don't have anything against a simplified, "modern" UI as long as it's a choice. NO permanent, non-user-configurable UI redesigns, please. It's not clear if the OP meant to ditch the list view entirely in the interests of simplification, but if so, that would be a major catastrophe in the view of many, many users.
That said, this thread is half a year old now and the OP hasn't been back since. As they said they weren't interested in modifications or themes, but only in complete redesign, I don't think they will be back any time soon.
