I have created a custom column called #read with yes/no to mark a book as read. I would like to create a search term which shows unread books in a series, if that series already has read books so that I can sync them to my Kindle easily to continue reading. I don't want series which are totally untouched show up in this list.

"series:true and #read:yes" just shows books that are already read. I am not sure how to get the unread books.

I use a plugin called "User category" and add currently reading series to a custom category to achieve this, but this is a manual process and more often than not, I start a new series and forget to add that series to the custom category, making me forget to check out the newest entries. So I would like something that does it automatically and I think using search expressions may be able to do what I want..

Could someone please point out the search expression to achieve what I want to do?
