Just reinforce the caution that the version of the patcher must match the version of the software you are running...

I really don't see much difference between the suggested steps in the replies in this thread and those in the Instructions for patching firmware 4.20.14622 thread. Other than my preference for using the command line so I didn't bother with using the GUI to drag the kobopatch.sh into Terminal. I'm already in Terminal so just execute the shell script already.
