UPDATE: it's all good now, but me still no understandy WHY TF we don't get a heads up or "hay, you want this?" kind of notice before an autoupdate. anyway.
The reason is because you never ran the Screen Saver Restore bin. You copied it to your K2, but you never performed an update, you restarted instead. Next time go to settings and select "Update..." instead of "Restart".

However, since the Screen Saver Hack bin (and the restore bin) are masquerading as OTA update files, your K2 noticed the restore bin (after it had been in sleep mode for 10 minutes) and automatically ran it and "updated" your K2 and removed the hack.
