Slight modification to filenames in calibre library
I am trying to figure out how to make a small modification to how the files in my calibre library are named. Here is an example:
1) I am adding a book to my calibre library with the original file name "King 2011 - 11_22_63.pdf".
2) When I add it to the library, the meta data shows the author as King, Stephen, the title as 11/22/63, and stores the file with the pdf with the following file structure - "King, Stephen\11_22_63\11_22_63 - King, Stephen.pdf".
3) Since I would like to use the original file name, I change the title in the calibre meta-data to "King 2011 - 11/22/63". Now the file with the pdf is stored with the file structure "King, Stephen\King 2011 - 11_22_63 \King 2011 - 11_22_63 - King, Stephen.pdf"
4) I am generally happy with this, but I would really prefer that the file name just be "King 2011 - 11_22_63.pdf", i.e., I just want to lose the last part of the file name, where the author's name is repeated.
5) I have been able to change the template for Saving books to disk, but this is for when I am saving the book somewhere else than in my calibre library. I cannot seem to find how to change the template for when calibre saves the books in my calibre library, though.
Is this something that can be changed? If so, I assume it is also where I can change the maximum length allowed for file names.
Thanks, Dale
