One of the things I like about the A5 is it's more like reading newspaper columns than a book (thinner, longer aspect than a typical e-reader). The optimal line length for body text readability is considered to be 50-60. To reach this on bigger devices I need larger type than I really need.
Smaller screens usually means more page turning. But page turning on the 5" A5 volume rocker is better than screen tapping on my 8" Nova 2.
I prefer the A5 for ebooks, the Nova for PDFs/Manga/Graphic Novels.
