The chronological order of things are already stated, so I'll not comment on it. However, you got me thinking.

What is the average deviation in battery life? The power consumption changes with a lot of factors (like room temperature). Battery capacity is degrading daily. We (users) measure battery life by leaving the device somewhere, turning a page every now and then -- I bet nobody wrote a detailed log when he turned which page so he can do it the same way again.

If the deviation is like 10% (which I think is too low), wouldn't it be a safe bet to write 5-10% somewhere, because there's nobody who could prove or disprove it? If you are a marketing-driven company and have to sell bad news (the delay of 2.7)?

And, is an improvement that is below the accuracy of measurement actually a feature?
