I do not have a cover so the feature was already disabled.

Why not just turn sleep mode off - problem solved. I have never used sleep mode on any of my Kobo's.

The only reason is that I don't like that I have to wait that the reader turns on to start reading. I know that I could switch it off every time I have finished to read.
