What is common among Sigil, the Calibre viewer, and the Calibre editor? They all hang regardless of whether I double click on a file or just run them straight off.
I did make a change to my system today (Windows 10), I added another user account. This is the first time I've done that. My next guess is that some folder has had its permissions changed? I checked the tmp folder; in the environment variables I have TMP and TEMP set to D:\tmp but its permissions are full control for me (and everyone). The new account can use Sigil and Calibre's editor and viewer no problem. My account is in the Administrators, the new account is not. (Maybe I should try adding another account and have it in the Administrators group.)
This won't be the first time I've had to reinstall windows to fix some weird problem; last time it was because nothing on my computer could connect to eclipse.org. Wiping and reinstalling fixed that.
