A factory reset is always something to try. Otherwise, open the device and check the cable for the screen is plugged in properly and not damaged. You can also check the back of the screen. The back shows some breaks better than the front, and sometimes it is at the edge where it is hidden.

Thanks for the tips. I tried a factory reset, and after that didn't solve the issue I opened it up, and disconnected and reconnected the ribbon cable. I'm unsure of how to remove the screen though, it seems glued to the front part of the shell.
Anyway, I'm now fairly convinced the screen is physically broken anyway. I might take it apart again and see if I can get the screen out, if only just for the fun of it.
Well, it was worth a try for 10 bucks I suppose. Thanks again for the tips!
