I couldn't get the calibre send to kindle to work either. I also use gmail to send pdfs to my kindle. Don't forget to put "convert" in the subject line.

This thread also reminded me of the send to goodreads functions. While attempting to share, there is a share to "twitter" checkmark. Both functions appear to not be working.
