Basically my thoughts on this. The OP is already used to the Kindle and Amazon's market and there's a lot less hassle to go with a Kindle. I don't know how hard it would be to find a Kobo in Brazil, but even an old, cheap one would be introduction into the Kobo world and that would the future decision easier.
