In fact, I forced myself through Hardy, for that reason. (And JTO, but simply because I struggled with the whole plotline from the time that he has the inspired concept of how to help his family's financial woes, so as not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't had...the pleasure. Not that everything I read has to be fairies and rainbows, but Moses on a Pony...)
