Thank you so much for your answers guys.

Well, I am actually really pissed off with amazon support.
I spent a whole afternoon with 4 different people (disconnected 2 times) for nothing. Just basic stuff that didn't help. Let alone the fact that I had to explain again the entire problem to every new staff member I spoke to.

I really hope I don't have to buy a new model. This one is perfect for me, and works perfectly (Aside from this particular issue of course).
But since I am going through the same issue on the Ipad app, I guess it's actually related to some kindle problem.

But Amazon really doesn't care.
One thing is for sure: next reader I buy won't be a kindle.

EDIT: Oh, and yes.. I manually updated the firmware to 5.12.5. In vain...
