Tracking down the cause of Kindle Previewer conversion failures can be difficult and time consuming. My best advice, from the first post in this thread under Dealing with Conversion Errors is:

When Previewer errors occur it can be a tedious trial-and-error process to get a book to convert to KFX. One procedure is to use the calibre editor to selectively remove pieces of the source book until conversion is successful. This will narrow down what part of the book is causing the Previewer failure.

This plugin should report everything that the Kindle Previewer provides in the calibre conversion log. If you find any useful information elsewhere I would be interested to find out about it so that I can improve this plugin.

Good luck.
