Yeah, but Greek has inflections. I do have a reference book on Greek inflections (as well as a paper Greek-English dictionary visible from where I'm sitting right now), but it's been a LONG time since I dealt with inflections, and I've never formally studied Greek. (I learned about inflections while studying Sanskrit, which has even more of them than Greek does.)
There's a Greek student in one of my graduate classes. I'll see her next week. If we haven't come up with something more amusing by then (or forgotten about the matter entirely
) I'll ask her about it.
