Name replacement seems to be a find and replace. I had never seen or used it before so i experimented.

In a book with a character called Sara I set it to replace Sara with Sarah, it seemed to replace all instances.
Then I reversed it And changed Sarah back to Sara.
You could do a lot of damage with that, there is no " are you sure" step, and I doubt it makes a backup of the book before changing it.

Whatever you enter on the left is replaced by whatever you enter on the right
I did not test if it only applies to complete words.
So if you can askmit to change cat to dog, does that change cathedral to doghedral ?

There is no feedback as to how many changes it has made
I did search Google but failed to find any explanation or documentation. I assume it is case sensitive,
