There’s ‘faster’, and there’s ‘fast enough’. As I suggested, the average consumer can get ‘fast enough’ and that is not the driving issue.
AFAICT, we’re building this thing for IoT applications, something I have concerns about (privacy, security) and zero interest in having in my home and life generally. And like it or not we are all subsidizing it and subscribed to whatever problems come along with it. It’s not that there cannot be welcome solutions as well, but unintended consequences seem inevitable given the lack of safeguards and oversight.
