@_novalis - have you tried any other ebook viewers, there might be some that are better suited for Windows Touch.

Calibre's Open With feature provides the means to use other viewers. FX, I prefer the pre-Chrome version of Edge for EPUBs, and just for fun I sometimes use Quicklook.
